Presented by THE International Rescue Committee (IRC) Seattle, WA | Rescue.org

June 20th is World Refugee Day, an effort to invite the world to see, honor, and celebrate refugees and immigrants worldwide. Refugees are multi-dimensional human beings—more than just a label or a number, and not defined by their displacement.

The goal of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is to change the typical narrative of refugees that others tell about them. The IRC invites refugees to tell their own stories in order to share their hopes, dreams, and values with the world.

Here in the City of SeaTac, we love showing the power of welcoming refugees and building our diverse community of immigrants. This Saturday, we welcome refugees into our community and celebrate with their families. Everyone is welcome to bring family, friends, and loved ones to the Global Village Event.
