Puget Sound Fire is proud announce that they will be hosting the upcoming Future Women in Emergency Medical Services (EMS)/Fire workshop scheduled for April 25-26, 2020 from 9 AM – 5 PM.
Puget Sound Fire and other fire agencies are searching for women in King County, age 18 or older, who are passionate about public service and are seeking a challenging and rewarding career opportunity. Spend the weekend exploring the world of Fire and EMS with us.
The FREE workshop is designed for women by women, this is the fourth such workshop sponsored by King County EMS and its regional partners for women to explore the world of fire and EMS. This full weekend includes:
- CPR training
- Demonstrations Discussion panels
- Hands-on interactions/training.
- Question and answer discussion panels with women firefighters and paramedics from various agencies around the county sharing their experiences about serving their communities
Over 100 women from the region have participated in past workshops, some of whom are now working full-time in this career. Puget Sound Fire’s Marika Muesegades is a past participant of the workshop and will be sharing her experience.
