December 3, 2020 — As work continues on the Federal Way Link Extension, a project of Sound Transit, here’s what City of SeaTac residents can expect in the weeks to come:
Upcoming Traffic Impacts
- There will be single lane closures on S. 208th Street east of International Blvd. (SR-99) from 7 AM to 4 PM until December 22.
- There will be single lane closures on International Blvd (SR-99) from S. 204th Street to S. 208th Street until December 18, from 8:30 AM – 3 PM.
- The sidewalk on the west side of International Boulevard will be closed from S. 204th Street to S. 208th Street until December 11. Pedestrian through-access will be maintained via a detour on the east sidewalk.
Construction Highlights
- Cranes are building elevated guideway columns south of S. 208th Street.
- Crews will continue utility construction west of International Boulevard between S. 204th Street and S. 208th Street.
- Site preparation has begun for the International Boulevard/ SR509 bridge temporary bypass road. It is expected to open to traffic in mid-January 2021.
- Utility work continues on S. 208th Street, east of International Boulevard.
