Applications due to the SeaTac City Clerk’s Office by Friday, October 27

Port of Seattle (POS) SEA Stakeholder Advisory Round Table (StART)

In 2018, the Port of Seattle launched a new way for the communities of Burien, Des Moines, Federal Way, Normandy Park, SeaTac and Tukwila to engage with Sea-Tac Airport, the airlines and with the other near-airport cities, at meetings convened by the SEA Airport Managing Director.

Participants share information, discuss community concerns and voice feedback on the airport’s programs and operations and strategize ways to minimize the impact of aviation on the near-airport cities. Meetings allow for dialogue on airport activities, inform decision-making and increase knowledge about the airport and the cities’ priorities.

Membership includes community members and staff from each city; and representatives from the airlines, air cargo and the Port. The Federal Aviation Administration provides agency expertise.

The two SeaTac community members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council following the City’s Citizen Advisory Committee vacancy process.  If you are interested in being considered, please fill out a Citizen Advisory Committee application and submit them to the City Clerk by email cityclerk@seatacwa.gov or in person at SeaTac City Hall, 4800 South 188th Street, SeaTac, WA 98188.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, October 27.
