SeaTac compiled a list of accomplishments from last year, creating innovative posters to showcase the hard work of people in and for the city.

In 2020, GIS staff developed a variety of web maps to communicate projects and events to the public.

The Project Activity Viewer depicts locations of current or proposed project activity within the City of SeaTac, including Capital Improvement projects, permitted construction and full road closures and detours. The Central SeaTac Story Map provides information on projects in Central SeaTac aimed at implementing City goals to create vibrant business and neighborhood districts.

GIS staff also created temporary interactive web maps for the Parks and Community Services Department for the Yard Art and Halloween Decoration contests to show locations and pictures of contest entries.

During 2020 SeaTac GIS staff worked on a variety of data updates and system upgrades that increased efficiency, streamlined operations and developed a solid framework for asset management solutions. We developed data, web maps and a mobile data collection process for mapping irrigation infrastructure in support of maintenance and operations activities.

SeaTac GIS staff continue to work on developing data and web map applications in support of city planning, operations and goals.
