Nearby COVID-19 vaccine clinics offer options for South King County residents who still need to be vaccinated.

COVID cases in every state have risen as vaccination rates fall. The delta variant has proven more transmittable and deadly than other strains. Local top health officials and the CDC insisted upon the need for masks once again to protect the public last month. In fact, many states are experiencing hospital bed shortages as people become hospitalized with the virus.

The push for vaccinations remains a top priority as it is proven to be the safest bet for people. Most of the COVID hospitalizations are people who have chosen to remain unvaccinated. The vaccine has proven to prevent most strains of COVID.

Just yesterday Governor Jay Inslee announced that all state employees are expected to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 18.

Following suite, King County and the City of Seattle also announced that county and city employees must receive the vaccine by the same October deadline. All healthcare employees in the state are also expected to get vaccinated as a condition of employment. Many large businesses and even our sports teams have pushed vaccines too.
