SeaTac residents can now request free trees from the City thanks to the Kiewit Tree Giveaway program.
Sitka Spruce’s, Red Cedars and Hemlock trees are available through this program. This is a new initiative and we have 40 trees to start with, but more can be provided if there is enough demand. The goal is to increase trees in cities affected by light rail construction.

Once you sign up, you will be contacted via email to arrange a pick-up time. Anyone who takes a tree is required to take a photo of it planted and document where it’s located. This info will be shared with the city to confirm actual use. If a tree is intended to be planted in the City’s right of way, a Class C ROW permit is needed.
