After a three-year-hiatus, Touch-A-Truck returned Saturday, Sept. 10 and with it came the completion of most of SeaTac Parks & Recreation summer programming.

This summer, SeaTac residents and visitors were able to enjoy Music in the Park, Theater in the Park, Kids Jam, Kidz Night and Touch-A-Truck at City parks. Councilmember Peter Kwon and former Councilmembers Pam Fernald and Stan Tombs dropped by Touch-A-Truck to celebrate its return this year. 

City partners like Puget Sound Fire and the King County Sheriff’s Office provided vehicles for Touch-A-Truck this year. Other vehicles present included an Animal Control truck, Port of Seattle Fire, Washington State Patrol, Recology King County, Puget Sound Energy and work trucks from SeaTac’s own fleet like snow plows. 

People were able to get snow cones on the hot day along with free face painting, balloon animals and a train ride. 

While summer programming winds down, SeaTac Parks & Recreation has announced its fall lineup of events including the return of the Great Pumpkin Night in October. November will bring a Resource Fair and the return of the Holiday Bazaar. In December, SeaTac will light the giant tree in front of the Community Center.
