The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Highline College released its operations report for the first quarter of 2022, highlighting its efforts to support SeaTac businesses.

So far this quarter, the SBDC has served 120 business clients, including 14 in SeaTac. The report also highlights the fact that clients in SeaTac added two full time and two part-time jobs this quarter and received $27,500 in loans/grants with new equity totaling $175,000.

The City of SeaTac actively works with and helps fund the SBDC at Highline College to help SeaTac businesses succeed through advising, education and research.

SBDC advisors provide one-on-one, confidential, no-cost advising on all phases of small business development to help develop actionable plans for owners to apply to their business.

Last year the SBDC supported SeaTac businesses directly with: 46 businesses served, 148 one on one sessions, 127 hours of advising, 48 additional businesses participating in online training and 30 hours of individual business training.
